Back in the days before one young boy went to pre-K, before he began to play soccer, when everything was new, his dad loved him. When he was two years old, before the two of them had time to do all the things that fathers and sons do, he lost his dad. Even so, he knows now that his dad loves him. He finds comfort in his memories, in the knowledge that his dad loved him, and in the reassurance that he always will.
Designed to help other children facing the loss of a loving parent, this poignant story for young readers shares the perspective of a young boy who has experienced the loss of his father.
About the Author
Melissa Lee has enjoyed writing creatively since childhood. She holds a BA in psychology and an MS in elementary education. A native New Yorker, she spent twenty-seven years as an elementary school teacher, but her favorite job is being a mother and grandmother.
