About the Author

John has been an educator for over 20 years. Currently, he is a librarian at Sanborn Elementary School in Chandler, Arizona. He teaches Pre-K through 6th grade. He is also adjunct faculty at Chandler-Gilbert Community College teaching Critical Reading and The Art of Storytelling. John has had the unique opportunity of teaching every grade from Pre-K through College. He is an Arizona award winning actor who performs for children as an interactive storyteller, incorporating costumes, magic, puppets, and music. John was born in West Allis, Wisconsin where he began his acting and storytelling, as well as learning the importance of imagination. Thanks to the woods, the mellow spot by the creek, and amazing friends and family, he has continued to spark and grow his imagination in everything he does. He currently lives in Mesa, Arizona. THE ILLUSTRATOR
Mark currently lives in Columbus, Ohio and has been Illustrating books since
Cockroaches have been around. Well, maybe not THAT long. If he had as many
hands as cockroaches he could illustrate twice as many books. Mark teamed up
with John for the first time. So, expect many more roach tales to come amongst a
