The wagon splintered, splitting in two, and the now disgruntled steed brayed mournfully- it had quite liked this wagon. Hooves of boars clopped into sight. Viggo’s world seemed to slow to a halt.
Aronin, desperately clawing his way out of the broken remains of the wagon.
The boar-riders dismounting their rides.
Viggo, being pulled up onto the steed.
“Aronin! The scroll!”
“No time!”
And Viggo watched in horror as the boar-riders triumphantly lifted the scroll from the floor. Then, they were gone.

About the Book
When the human wizard Ignis leaves behind a powerful scroll in the possession of low-ranking soldier Viggo Bausan, Viggo must venture to the latest war counsel in the wizard’s place to speak. Things don’t go as planned, and the scroll is taken by savage boar-riders. Viggo now leads a regiment deep into troll territory to reclaim possession of the scroll.
In the meantime, mentally weak and unprepared elf Iston Thorin attains the vaunted position of Elven Head General and must defend his people against orcs. When all seems lost and the enemy is close to conquering the continent of Cynthia, how will these two unlikely heroes cope with adversity and save their people?
The Scroll of the Kings is an exciting fantasy novel following the adventures of characters from various magical races as they work together to save the world from encroaching evil.
