Why does the rain have to rise? I don’t want this. I don’t want this. I don’t want this. My mantra … that will never produce fruition. Maybe if I say it enough, the rain won’t rise. Maybe if I say it enough, you will come back to me. Rain Rain Come down on me. Drench me in all of your glory. But, it won’t. It just Rises.

About the Book
This is a personal story, a fraction of life, written in poetry. It is the story of a loving, dedicated wife living through the struggling times that have been impacted by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It weaves the story of the love that a wife has for her husband, veteran and first responder, that struggled with PTSD and alcohol disease. Loving through the trials... Living through the loss... Trying to move on... Holding on too tight... Bringing all the feels, all the mess, all the emotions of living with mental illness. Trying to live the good life with Christ, our Savior.
About the Author
Jodi Lynn is a mother, widow, and survivor of a life of codependancy. As a wife, she supported her late husband through Post Tramatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and alcohol disease which eventually took his life. She navigated her own trauma while helping her children and husband through theirs...the best that she knew how.
