About the Book
As an early childhood educator of many years, author Kerissa Poss often heard kids describe the color brown as “ugly,” “dirty,” or “too dark.” However, brown is beautiful! It can be friendly like a dog’s wagging tail or strong like a tall tree. Brown is the color of chocolate, and everyone loves chocolate! With Kerissa’s encouragement, the kids in her classes started choosing brown more quickly from their crayon boxes. What if you were reminded of all the wonderful things brown can be? About the Author
Kerissa G. Poss was once a little brown girl who ignored the brown crayon in her crayon box. After almost a decade in early childhood education, she is now a woman who uses a box full of different shades of brown crayons and loves them all. She lives in Texas with her husband Dan, her greatest cheerleader.
