One day, in a little village in Mexico, a sweater was born. It wasn't really born, but the young girl named Maria who knitted the sweater put so much of her heart into it that she thought of it as her baby, her mija. Although Maria loved her little sweater, her family needed money, so she took it to market to sell. Many people who looked at the sweater said, "Eew, wjat an ugly sweater!" and pased it by. This made Maria and her sweater very sad. Then one day a visitor from America saw the sweater and said I'd like to buy this sweater for my granddaughter, Abby!" And so, with heavy hearts, the young girl and her sweater said goodbye.
