Daisy lay down exhausted. Delilah quickly made her way down from the tree.
Delilah rubbed her nose up against Daisy's face and Daisy licked Delilah's face. They both laughed at the different ways they showed affection.
“Thank you for saving my life,” Delilah purred.
“I was going to thank you for saving my life,” Daisy woofed.
Delilah said “I could have never intimidated that raccoon the way you did. He was not bothered by my hissing.”
“I could have never climbed that tree and knocked down the branch like you,” said Daisy
They realized it took them working together to stop the raccoon. Each with their own unique qualities that helped them defeat the raccoon. Together they made a great team.

About the Book
Daisy is a yellow Labrador retriever who really loves going on walks and really dislikes being home alone. Daisy needs a friend.
When she sees Daisy moping around, her human, Peyton, wants to adopt another dog. Unfortunately, her parents disagree. When she finally comes home with a black-and-white kitten named Delilah, Daisy decides right away that she absolutely cannot be best friends with anyone who is not just like her. But when dog and kitty suddenly come face-to-face with danger, everything changes as they put their differences aside to conquer a determined enemy.
In this delightful animal tale, a dog and cat learn to embrace their differences and grow to love each other as the best friends they were meant to be.
