Destiny just turned ten and she is having the time of her life! She has a magnificent home; terrific friends and she loves her school and teachers. Destiny and her mom have a close relationship. They watch television together, go to the park, and her mom helps her with her homework. Destiny tells her mom about everything that happened during her day. But today is different. A new student arrived at school and in her class. Suddenly, Destiny’s world is turned upside down!

About the Author

Uquay Baker is from Chicago, Illinois and is the youngest in her family. She holds a master’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. Her unique experiences of serving with other women in different locations while in the military, ignited her passion for becoming a staunch advocate for children everywhere. She uses her unique voice to speak to issues dear to their heart.
