I’ve always heard stories about the cook county jail however this book put me in a trace as if I was there. It was intriguing, funny, sad, surprising and over all a very good written detailed true story that had me on pins and needles with every chapter. The authors details about his life gave me so many emotions and it was a very well written, authentic version of his life at that time. I look forward to reading more of his future books! Job well done

This is an absolute jewel, the book is a riveting account of what takes place inside of Cook County Jail. The first page captured my attention as I read the book in it’s entirety within seven hours. I couldn’t put it down. I actually visualized each chapter as if it were a movie. The authors writing style is impeccable. I’ve worked for a law firm for over 15 years and I only bare witness to seeing and interviewing clients in preparation for their cases, however, for a short period of time. I was blind to the fact once our meeting concludes our clients must to return to the unapologetic concrete jungle of their reality of life. Which those of us in the legal field are clueless of. This book should be offered to all lawyers as a precursor to what clients actually bear witness to on a daily basis. It’s a must read.
