Tucker had some reading to do for English class. The class was studying Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. The story told of a legend where only and angel can plant a red fern. The character in the book came to believe that perhaps there was a higher power at work. Tucker thought about this for a while and concluded that Juan and Mr. Lane might be his gift from a higher power.
