About the Book

If you were to ask me, what is your book about? I guess I can sum it up in one word
survivor!!

Not everyone can say they were on the front page of the New York Daily newspaper with the headline reading;
Five Husbands!!
Married To The Mob!!

Nor would they want to be. But I was.

I have the unfortunate distinction of being married to Sammy, the bull Gravano’s first murder victim, Joseph Colucci. My life was never the same. I experienced murder, abuse, heartache, death, financial ruin, and public condemnation.
And I Survived!!

It is time to tell my side of my story !!
Here it is!!

About the Author

Camille Varacalli’s book is based on her life story.
She feels the only one who can tell her story in her own words with her own thoughts and from her heart is her!
Camille was born in a section of lower Manhattan called Little Italy and grew up in a section of Brooklyn known as Borough Park.
She had loving parents and only one sibling, her sister, Rose.
Camille attended Sarah J. Hale High School and, later in life, Parsons School of Design in Manhattan, where she began her career as an interior designer.
Through the years people would often say, “You should write a book. Tell your side of your story.”
The consensus was it needs to be told.
Hence the book.
