Full Moon Calling Two pairs of dark eyes peered out a window, enveloped by darkness, glaring toward the forest beyond. Humans could not begin to hear what these two heard. It was exactly as old Jack London described, The Call of the Wild, distant, penetrating vibrations of wild wolves howling and hunting deep in the Alaskan wilderness, among the other creatures of the night. The moon broke free of its cloud covered prison illuminating the window and sending broken shards of light across the landscape below it. Four pointy ears appeared behind the frosted glass with noses smudged to the thin, crystal clear barrier that kept the two fur coated silhouettes from busting loose, and running off deep into the murky, pitch black midnight. Although driven by instinct and yearning to go full bore into the dark abyss and whatever wild animals await, they watched silently. The urge to run coursed through their blood, crept into their dreams and made these Siberian Huskies and similar breeds what they are, curious hunters, improbable escape artists and when harnessed, sled dogs. A simple noise detected by these beautiful canines had peeked their inquisitive minds to survey their backyard, and they hoped to spy something, anything. A justified intruder would allow the snow dogs to wake up their bond in the human world, their true love, their queen. The Huskies desperately wanted to explore, but alas, nothing was to be seen, so they skulked back to Her Majesty, the radiant young girl Jules, who slept soundly and unaware of her dogs stirring. Without noise or vibration they leapt upon her bed, curled up and fell fast asleep to the dreams of the wild and running free. Sled dog dreams transpired, as their paws twitched in jubilation.

New Kids have moved in to their lives and it’s time for them to stand rm and befriend? and/or compete against in the Junior Sled race and hockey rink! Surrounded by the Wilds of Alaska, Jules sets up an amazing journey with her dogs, family and friends to explore new challenges in her life. Take a ride with Jules and all these sled dogs as danger and excitement lurk around every corner. Mush! Onward! Away we go!
About the Author
G. T. Walsh lives in South Carolina with his wife Kerry and three kids, Quinn ( at Clemson) , Kinsley, Blakely & the latest fur person Ozzy, a black Goldendoodle, with a white racing stripe up his chest. I have grown up with German Shepards, Malamutes and Siberian huskies my whole life- Most of the characters in this book are named from previous dogs owned by the Walsh Clan. An Avid fisherman, I was lucky enough to take a two week Alaskan fishing trip up theThe Naknek River and streams of the surrounding Katmai National Park region which offer some of the finest fishing in the world, outside King Salmon Alaska which was amazing and the sheer vastness of the Mountains, Wildlife, Forests, Plains and waters stuck with me my whole life. My parents Douglas & Roberta had two Malamutes, Niki & Devil early on and as we grew older we had a huge Bear Like German Shepard Koda and his mother Loki! I attended Florida State University, where I acquired my first Siberian Husky, Nanook, and her soon to be brother from another mother Chief! They directly reflect the dogs in the book. My Sister Steffanie and her Husband Karl raised Mikah & Kenai, and have since followed up with a German Shepherd named Vader and two Siberian huskies Kaia and Ghost. These dogs were a huge part of our lives and are immortalized in the adventure you are about to partake in! Enjoy the ride! or Sled trip!
