His eyes grew bigger and bigger as he watched the water rise higher and higher. Suddenly, he felt a tug on his umbrella and grabbed the handle. It was caught in the branches of an uprooted tree floating by in the river. “Help, help,” Atwater cried as he slid down the muddy bank into the rushing water, but he wouldn’t let go of the umbrella.

About the Book
A small elephant named Atwater washes up on a deserted island with his prized possession, a rather worn but still colorful umbrella. The homesick elephant is comforted by a clever green parrot named Tripp. Together they embark on a journey of self-discovery to find their way home.
