Broken Soul

A vision rippled through my head. In it, I stumbled down the empty road, my eyes cloaked by the hooded raincoat. The skies went dark as the cold intensified. The rain fell like piercing needles upon my head. I felt my movement slow down with each falling step as human figures rose up from the ground, bloody and inching towards me. The human figures shifted to hollow faced demons, each reaching out to embrace me. I ignored their transgressions and my eyes burned a searing crimson. I saw only Lucifer, his body strewn with the flesh of damaged souls, his razor tipped horns smoldered with ash, and his eyes blood red. Closer and closer I came until I stood within a few feet of this ultimate evil. At that moment I pulled down my hood and whispered "now." I dropped down to my knees with outstretched arms and opened my mouth. The devil peered down, opened his mouth and spewed out a cloud of smoke that forced its way down my throat. Once swallowed, black ink visible upon my skin, raced through my veins and in through my eyes until they became a hollow black. "God, do not let him in, give me the strength to refuse him."
