AEON

Chapter 1 Voknir flew across the sky in a hurry to stop Grommot from destroying the homes below. In his haste his bracers fell to the ground shrinking in size as they fell in altitude. Landing in the grassy plain the Bracers of Peace were hidden in the high grass out of Voknir’s sight. Just then, the wind picked up and the sky turned an eerie green color. With a smile Grommot spun into a rotating, funnel cloud extending to the ground. Frightened, the people below took cover in their storm cellar as Grommot caused dirt and dust to swirl on the ground. Looking for the Bracers of Peace, Grommot’s wind caused the cuffs to fly into a house nearby. In a rush, Grommot headed directly to the house. Without the Bracers of Peace, Voknir could stop Grommot. So, Voknir blew a rush of cold air causing Grommot to dissipate and disappear out of sight What is Weather? The weather is a major part of our lives. The weather is the backdrop to our day at the beach and determines whether we have a day at the park or will go inside to stay warm on a cold winter night. Climate, Weather, Wind, & Atmosphere More than this, weather is the state of the atmosphere at a particular time. Climate, on the other hand, is the state of the atmosphere over long periods of time creating long-term averages. A good majority of the atmosphere of our planet is contained in a particularly thin area surrounding the Earth. The winds of our home planet are horizontal. The vertical motion of the wind determines atmospheric behavior.
