Pickles the Slug is a story that celebrates the beautiful differences between us all. It teaches that no matter what you look like, where you come from or what social class you fit into, that everyone has something that makes them unique, and that they can contribute to their community in a positive way.
About the Author
About the Author Making his debut as a children’s author, Brett made his start as a lead vocalist in a hip hop funk band based out of Vancouver, Canada. He has written hundreds of songs and has produced five albums. Now that he has children of his own, his passion for writing in verse has shifted toward making literature fun and silly while simultaneously touching on serious social issues. He has coupled his love for writing with his interest in gardening and all the creatures that inhabit a garden setting. He hopes that this book makes your children laugh as much as it has for his, and that it inspires a new generation of not only readers, but new future writers as well. About the Illustrator Isaac Osborne Grew up on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada. Inspired and motivated by the local artists in his community and around the province, from a young age he set out on a journey to discover his path and find new and exciting ways to express his wonder of the world through art and storytelling.
