love poems and other lies i’m the great pretender a magician of words and lies a murderer with no weapons and severely weak alibis to me, love has no meaning a word amongst the rest to mingle and cohabitate an unfamiliar guest four letters randomly placed rarely heard or spoken for some, the highest of highs for the rest, damaged and broken a fairly tale in the back pages of a book kept in the attic dusty and forgotten and ever so anticlimactic fake it the best i can as these things don’t write themselves unrealistic and over fantasised like so many others on the shelves no idea what i’m doing little to no understanding of your feelings no sympathy for underdogs and all their shattered ceilings can only make uneducated guesses as to why you are consistently glowing you, with your diamond rings and flowers or other trinkets you need to keep showing once thought i could be a normal girl rings on finger, a pretty white dress secrets whispered under covers an overwhelming need to confess all of the wanting all of the needing a constant hunger that always needs feeding spill everything from your insides every thought you were ever thinking while i’m just barely holding on to a ship that's quickly sinking but i’m far from normal and i’m not sure i’ll ever understand why there are invisible ties to another electricity and sparks from a single held hand my stone heart could be colder my skepticism could be my demise a solid theory to hide behind these love poems and other lies
