About the Book
What if your calling sent you to a land of ice, barriers, and strangers, with nothing but faith in your pocket?
In In Search Of: The Syrian Refugees (A Black Woman’s Mission to Turkey), Faith J. Walker shares an extraordinary, real-life testimony of faith-based missions, spiritual warfare, and divine encounters. With just six dollars and a mandate from God, she embarks on a daring journey with an underground church mission group to locate and serve Syrian refugees scattered across Istanbul and beyond. Their mission is bold: share the gospel, offer comfort, and build bridges of friendship in one of the world’s most volatile regions.
Despite being lost without resources, denied access, facing threats of imprisonment, and enduring the bitter Turkish winter, Faith and her multicultural team witness miraculous interventions at every turn. From powerful prayer encounters to life-changing conversations in refugee homes, her journey is marked by unshakable courage, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the unifying force of cross-cultural ministry.
Set in the heart of the Middle East, this inspirational true story highlights the intersection of Christian missions, refugee relief, and spiritual obedience. For readers drawn to underground church stories, Syrian refugee narratives, and women-led ministry, this is a powerful account of what happens when you trust God completely.
Step into the mission. Discover the miracles. Be changed.
