Posie’s Pockets were full! So full that the items tumbled out like popcorn from a popper. A round red ball jumped from her right pocket, and a soft white feather floated to the ground from her left. A straight-legged plastic pelican hung on for dear life. “What’s all this stuff?” asked Mazie, following behind Posie and collecting the lost items. “My special things,” said Posie. “What so special about this stuff?” Mazie asked. “Don’t you get tired of lugging this around?” A crumpled piece of paper sat snug in her pocket, lodged between a golden hairclip and sparkly lip gloss.

Kate has an undergraduate degree from Oakland University in Rochester, MI and an MBA from George Washington University. Kate has a background in Marketing and Public Relations and has previously written two children’s books. Her first book, Doodle Noodle, was released by Archway Publishing in April 2021 and her second, Mazie’s Full Heart, was released in 2022. She is the owner of Poe and Company Bookstore in Milton, GA.
