“We need to take note that this beacon of light is recognized by all humans around the world in a manner relevant to their traditions and customs. Some find it in ancient manuscripts such as the Vedas, the theological testaments, teachings from prophets and Saints and so on. The experience of this light is often referred to as “Spiritual”. There is a profound difference between the light our eyes can see and the illumination emanating from this external God. The absence of visible light leads to darkness which we can handle. However, when the light from God is prevented from reaching man, the resulting darkness of his soul can have terrible consequences. It negates the very nature of man’s image that is meant to be all that is “good”. And the consequence varies according to the level of power this man has over others. It can range from the likes of Hitler to somebody shooting up school children. On the other hand, an unobstructed light can create the likes of Saint Teresa.”
