The ABCs of My Body series was conceived as a tool for teaching children about their bodies through the structure of the alphabet.

About the Author

About the Authors, Illustrator, and Editor Kunle Adebiyi, author, is a father and works as a clinical pharmacist at Michigan Medicine (formerly the University of Michigan Health System) in Ann Arbor Michigan. He began his working career as a high school science teacher and later worked for Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis Pharmaceutical). More recently, he cofounded and was the director of a home health care company, serving Washtenaw and Wayne Counties in Michigan. Dr. Gregory Katz, author, is an ophthalmologist practicing in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is actively involved in ocular research, has published more than twenty-five scientific papers, and has lectured internationally on glaucoma as well as other ocular diseases. For more than twenty years, he has participated in medical mission trips, doing cataract and glaucoma surgeries on patients who do not have access to care in countries such as Ghana, India, Costa Rica, and Egypt. Thomas Petiet, illustrator, is a father who has enjoyed a long career as a commercial artist and illustrator. As Concept Studio, founded in 1971, Mr. Petiet has produced brochures, space ads, catalogs, and illustrations. He was the art director for the Creative Activities book series for children and has published the graphic satire Aliens Among Us. In the performing arts, he has been the managing director of the Comic Opera Guild since 1973, producing more than one hundred shows. Ashley Renee Adebiyi, research editor, is a devoted wife and mother. She holds a master of arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and also an MBA. She has worked as a health care giver in Wayne and Washtenaw Counties and later as an administrative assistant at a home health care company in southeast Michigan. Ashley currently works as a Mental Health Therapist.
