About the Book

What happens when you’ve spent a lifetime searching for yourself—and finally find her? Raised in a small rural town in South Carolina, a little girl silenced by bullying and self-doubt grew up feeling small, unheard, and unworthy. Desperate for freedom, she left her hometown, joined the military, and traveled the world—searching for herself. But no matter how far she went, the broken pieces of her past followed her. Trapped in an abusive marriage filled with infidelity and turmoil, her life spiraled into self-destructive behavior. When her husband abandoned her and their young children in a new city, they were left isolated, forced to rebuild their lives from the ground up. In the depths of despair, she turned back to God. From the ashes of betrayal, heartbreak, and abandonment, she rises with newfound strength and resilience, proving that even the most broken chapters in life can lead to extraordinary transformation. Redemption is more than a memoir—it’s a testament to healing, forgiveness, and divine love. It’s a journal for the voiceless, the broken, and the lost, reminding them of their worth and the power within to rise again. This story is not just about surviving—it’s about thriving and embracing the person you were always meant to be. Let this book inspire you to confront your pain, embrace your journey, and write your own story of redemption.

Born in Hawaii and raised in the quiet town of Younges Island, South Carolina, Ann joined the military at the age of 18 and served with distinction for 21 years, retiring as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. Her career in public service has been shaped by decades of leadership, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to transformation and purpose. Ann is the founder of The Divine Redemption Press, a publishing imprint dedicated to trauma-informed and spiritually-rooted storytelling, and the founder and president of The Divine Redemption Inc., a nonprofit that equips men and women for healing, community, and transformation. Redemption is her offering—for men and women who have survived trauma and are ready to reclaim their voice, identity, and peace. Ann’s upcoming works include After Redemption: The Becoming Behind the Breakthrough, a sacred and revealing reflection on spiritual warfare, soul ties, trauma recovery, and the work of healing in God’s presence.
