About the Book
Adam Clarke has always lived in two worlds. In one, he is a devoted son, a compassionate care worker, and a young man desperate to bring joy to others. In the other, he is consumed by impulsivity, addiction, and a self-loathing so heavy it threatens to crush him. Denied treatment for his debilitating ADHD as a child, Adam learned to self-medicate—chasing quiet in destructive ways that only fueled the chaos inside him. Now, at twenty-three, his life unravels after a tragic accident, and he stands on the brink of losing everything, including his freedom. Torn between surrendering to the darkness or fighting for a life beyond it, Adam must confront the fractured pieces of himself—and decide if he can build something whole from the wreckage. Raw, intimate, and unflinching, Beneath the Turmoil: A Search for Peace in Chaos, is a story of brokenness, resilience, and the search for redemption on the other side of struggle.
