08-26-2016 DONALD TRUMP: DO THE MEANS JUSTIFY THE END? The Election Timetable is running out for Donald Trump. What does a desperate Narcissistic Demagogue do? Anything and everything! He has now decided, either on his own or with the advice from his 3rd new, extreme team, to say anything to bring in votes from anyone who is slightly undecided. He goes from one rally to the next, changing his tune and pandering to whomever he can. He knows that just a few votes from each group, Latino, African American, Gay, Lesbian, Educated, Women, etc.., will put him over the top to win the election and change what he calls “The Regime” as if he were in some foreign country. He shouted out to the African American community, “You have nothing to lose”, because he believes they have nothing anyway. It is the biggest insult of all. What you don’t realize is that he truly feels that way about everyone who is not successful or not in the ring with him. The scary part is that if people do not wake up to his insincerity and ineptness, he could actually win! This would be a colossal defeat for our Democracy as we know it. Trump is surrounded by extreme ultra-right-wing advisors who have a long history of Racism, Anti-Semitism as well and anti-government remarks, along with a large following through their online websites. Winning is all that Donald Trump is about. He has said it over and over again, because if he doesn’t, then it was all for nothing. He, of course, will blame everyone but himself. His mindset sees it only that way, and he will create any scenario through lies or loud bizarre remarks about his opponent just to keep the ball rolling. I know that when you see two opposing sides, Democrats and Republicans, start agreeing that it would be dangerous for him to be elected, then you know your vote is important. Even Glenn Beck, who I am not a fan of, says that Trump’s election as President could be one of the most dangerous happenings ever in our American History! When people like Trump get desperate, watch out. Anything can happen! I am asking all undecided Voters to really listen and learn that “What you see is what you will get: a Trump Regime!” Since this was written, Donald Trump has managed to win not just one …but two presidencies, 2016 and, most recently, 2024…both were against women, then Hillary Clinton, and now Kamala Harris. You might say we're just not ready for a woman! He is using the same old songs, only he is older, more outrageous and dangerous! He has proven that repetition, even when they are lies…works! He is the first President who carries the label Convicted Felon, which will always be a part of his legacy. Trump has never conceded the 2021 election, still claiming it was rigged and stolen from him. The “Big Lie” worked for him…but…not for us!

About the Book
From the moment Donald J. Trump glided down his golden escalator at Trump Tower in June of 2015, Linda B. Gefen started to share her observations on the hypocrisy and horror of his presidential race against Hillary Clinton in letters to the editors of major newspapers. Many were published as Opinions and Letters to the Editor. Hearing his toxic words inspired Linda B. Gefen to put her feelings out there and that suddenly grew into almost nine years of late-night or early-morning writings, creating an outlet for her to share her dismay at what America's future was heading towards. The “Letters” progressed through Trump’s first term, including the pandemic, two impeachments, his loss to Biden in 2020 and the January 6 insurrection, 34 convictions on criminal counts, and, believe it or not, his second presidential race…which Trump…after all the negativity, most surprisingly won. Because of that happening …this journey is far from over! My letters began to flow almost simultaneously with Trump’s decision to run for President in June 2015, as I was shocked that he would be chosen for the top of the GOP ticket. A few writings grew into the hundreds, bringing history from my view, center-left, to the pages of this book. The end is never the end, it just passes us by and continues. I am sure if you open any page and read a letter, it will remind you of that certain moment in time. It is a compilation of eight to almost nine years of passages filled with my passion for truth to power. I am still searching for it, especially now again with Trump’s negative messaging. “Letters” is history in a personal story-like version…seen through my more liberal eyes!

Linda B. Gefen is a wife, mother, grandmother, entrepreneur, and writer. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from Hofstra University. Thirty-one years of owning a retail business brought out her creative side, and social interactions have given her a heightened sense of the community’s political pulse. Her first Letter to the Editor was published in USA Today.
