Somewhere in the Caribbean Sea lies a small island where the weather is always nice and all the animals get along. In a pretty garden cottage lived an elderly lady named Abigail. Every summer, Abigail’s granddaughter, Abby, came to visit. Abby was always sad when she had to leave again, so this time her grandmother told her that on the 29th of February, both their birthdays, she would receive a very special gift.

About the Book
Catnip’s Magic Suitcase allows children ages four and up to make up their own story following the presented pictures. Kids will be encouraged to identify and find characters throughout the text. Frequent repetition will prompt recognition and memory, and it will allow children to draw conclusions at their individual levels.
About the Author
Barbara Polidura started drawing at a very young age. She studied fashion design in Berlin. In 1974 she immigrated to the US and eventually settled in Tennessee. She returned to college and graduated from APSU with a BS in psychology, followed by an MS in psychology from Murray State University, Ky. As a therapist she headed several mental health programs. She established the CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) pilot program in Tennessee. She worked alongside law enforcement as well as other Emergency Services. She became a member of the ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) and presented a paper at the tenth ICISF world congress in 2009. In 2007 she joined the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. She is now retired and lives with her husband in Tennessee.
