Chasing The Truth

Sometimes people confuse opinions with the truth. Others blissfully ignore facts that support the truth. Then there are those that just create stories and insist that the fabricated tales are the truth. We only have to take a quick look back at the last few decades to see examples of the truth obscured. The Pentagon Papers exposed the truth of our leaders lying to us during the war in Vietnam. Watergate—just that one word—is a sad reminder of the lengths men worked to hide the truth. Big Tobacco misleadingly told generations that cigarette smoking was not addictive, and certainly not deadly; if the dead could speak, they would tell you neither one of those claims were true. We were told by our leaders that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass-destruction. When we invaded his country, we found that accusation was untrue. One president waged his finger at the American public demanding we believe that he did not have sexual relations with that woman, when truthfully, he did. In the following pages you will read opinions which have morphed into fanciful legends. You will discover that some powerful people have buried the truth in layers of historical lies. This was done intentionally to mislead you and often preserve the power of the powerful. Some powerful people have strived to keep the light of the truth buried in darkness creating intentional obscurity. In this book, you will meet a man who was a nineteenth-century mad scientist. In his lifetime his name was replaced by exactly what he was, The Merchant of Death. We will also meet some of the men who profited from America’s wars. From the Revolutionary war, through all her conflicts, a small group of greedy men have reaped unfathomable profits from the sacrifices of our soldiers. You will meet the men who turned Blood Into Gold. The Devil’s Imp was a powerful man who walked with presidents, from Franklin Roosevelt to Ronald Regan, and in all those decades whispered very controversial advice into the ears of our elected leaders. He openly defied laws and always in our names. You will meet him and never forget him. Next, we travel through time, layers of deceit and a fabricated forced starvation, The Great Hunger, as we visit the long-suffering peoples of Ireland. Our visit to the Emerald Isle will cover hundreds of years, many wars, much death, starvation, and immense emigration out of Ireland. Why? Was it famine or genocide that killed the Irish? We will also visit the battlefields of World War I in France and Belgium and discover The Iron Harvest. We find dead and maimed people there to this day. These innocents are not soldiers. Rather, the innocents are killed or maimed by time-traveling weapons fired by ghosts of men. How is it possible that a war that ended a century ago still claims its victims? The enduring family legend claimed he volunteered from his prison cell to serve in the infantry during World War I.
