"It's not fair," he whispered to himself. "Gus gets to walk among the treetops, and Ellie gets to splash in the big pond. Why do I have to stay in the village?" So, while his family slept soundly, Miles did something he had never done before—he snuck out of the village all by himself.

About the Book
“It Takes A Village” is about a meerkat named Miles that goes on an adventure outside of his village, only to realize it is a terrifying world away from home. I would love to convey a theme to parents that it truly does take a village of support sometimes.
About the Author
Brianna Watters lives in the quaint town of Aubrey, Texas with her husband, Phillip Watters, and one year old daughter with two dogs and a cat. She is a resource teacher and loves to write, hike, and do photography in her spare time.
