Dolores Thompson is a Roman Catholic writer of short stories, children’s stories, and a songwriter. Like a candle in darkness, her writings are profoundly simple yet touching the depth of the soul with a glow of light and truth. As a star in a dark sky, they express an essence of light within the realm of ignorance, aiding the untangling of knots of confusion and fear. As a songwriter, her collaboration with German music composer, Karsten Klemme happened through an extraordinary meeting. Dolores had written many poems and searched a Catholic website for someone interested in putting music to them. During that time, she prayed a novena to St. Michael the archangel. On the feast day of the archangels, September 29, Karsten Klemme, from Germany responded and requested to read some of her poems. A few days later, he emailed her music to one of her poems. From that point, they produced dozens of deeply beautiful spiritual songs. She and Karsten Klemme never met or even spoke on the phone. All songs were produced over the internet.
