About the Book
Jubal Chain, a highly decorated Special Forces Army Colonel, is pulled from his retirement by his former commander. Chain has just completed an extremely hazardous and perilous mission, one to repay justice for an unspeakable murder. Now he is being retained as the Assistant Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. This time the threat is internal. A treasonous terrorist cell, thought to be a fanatical Islamic group, has infiltrated the agency. Who they are and how they are causing the damages are unknown, but the fact that several United States military missions have resulted in catastrophic losses makes this mission imperative. The military success of the nation depends upon its outcome as does national security. Chain and his small team are charged with the task of uncovering and eliminating the threat. The trail to accomplish that will encompass the expanse of the United States and hostile international territory. For Chain, this mission will also have personal implications of utmost importance. Failure is not an option, and time is not on their side as misfortunes continue to rise.
