As our world becomes more complex with disturbing news, screen time, bullying, and less outdoor inventive play, our children need lessons of values and reminders to live by. It is the intent of Bogie’s situational stories to explain what each value means and to create a connection to each value. It is to offer an opening for dialogue between children and adults. These are values that need to be discussed and modeled for young developing minds and are crucial for strong moral development.

About the Author
Patti Ellsworth has dedicated over 50 years to education, working in both regular and special education classrooms across Wisconsin. She has taught students from kindergarten through high school and holds a master’s degree in Learning Disabilities. Patti launched a resource program at a private high school and developed an elementary program to support students with disabilities. During her time teaching special education at the middle school level, she was honored as a Teacher of the Year. Patti also brought the Special Olympics to her school, serving as agency manager and coaching four sports. In addition to her professional work, she taught Sunday School for several years while raising her children. Her lifelong commitment to children, both in and out of the classroom, reflects a deep passion for education, inclusion, and service.
