The next day Mert grasshopper, Boris beetle and Sam ant came over to visit Henry, but Henry wasn’t on his favorite leaf this morning. “Where was Henry?” Everyone asked. “Maybe he crawled away after all the bad things we said about him” Sam ant replied. “Oh, he’s got to be around here somewhere” Mert grasshopper said. “But where?” Asked Boris beetle. “Well, let’s all look!” cried Sam ant. So they all looked and looked, but no one could find Henry. While everyone was standing around wondering where Henry was, along came Tilly ladybug.

About the Book
Henry the caterpillar loves to be with his friends, but they think he’s too slow and fat to do all the fun things. But Henry has a secret no one could’ve imagined.
About the Author
Born and raised in Michigan, Wes Killingebeck was a trained artist from the Kendall School of Design. He illustrated and wrote “Henry” while in the Air Force in 1971. He worked as an editorial artist for the San Jose Mercury News for 35 years. Prior to his passing in 2024, he’d always hoped to publish this story.
