The words are enough to uproot the world as I know it, a world filled with hugs, comfort and smiles as bright as the crescent moon. “It’s okay,” said my mama, her voice fighting to hold back the crackle that comes with tears. Love lives in the room. She has always been the strong one. I want to be strong like my mama.
