About the Book

As a parent do you ever wonder what threats our children might face while at school? Are you trusting that those caring for our children know what these look like? Do you know that threats hide in plain sight. Not every threat is in the form of someone with a gun. Threats can be found in the way that data is collected and used; and, importantly, what kind of data is being asked for. A threat can be the chaperone given responsibility for watching your child on a field trip, or an assignment. Threats can lurk where you least expect them. This guidebook will teach you how to think about everyday school activities and educate on the phycological impact these threats can have on our children. This guidebook will help parents enhance their level of awareness through scenarios presented and the potential for possible harm explained. This guidebook should be a ready reference for every parent.

About the Author

Both fathers and mothers will find my book both illuminating and useful as it provides a level of awareness of everyday threats our children might encounter in school, but which are so seemingly benign that they are often overlooked. As a mother who has served law enforcement for years, both enforcing laws and advising law enforcement leaders, I am uniquely positioned to speak to the worries of a parent while offering a perspective of a woman who spent years in enforcement and has a deep understanding of threats and those who prey on others.
