The heart behind this devotional was birthed in a place of encounter. I was invited to present a two-day training drawn from my first book, Next Level Spiritual Warfare: Advanced Strategies for Defeating the Enemy, to a group of men incarcerated in a maximum-security prison. As I stood before them, I was deeply moved. These men had already given their lives to Christ and, despite the reality of their confinement, were living out their faith with sincerity and hunger. I saw firsthand that prison walls could not contain the work of the Holy Spirit.
Their commitment challenged me. If they could live free in Christ within physical chains, then surely no one is beyond the reach of God’s transforming power. Out of that experience came a deep desire to create a resource that would encourage those behind walls—both visible and invisible. This devotional is for every man and woman facing battles with cycles of addiction, regret, fear, or other struggles that feel like chains too heavy to break.
I wrote Beyond the Chains: A Journey of Hope and Transformation as a companion for your daily walk. My prayer is that as you read, reflect, pray, and confess God’s Word, you will encounter the living Christ in fresh ways. These pages are not just words—they are keys to unlock hope, release healing, and point you toward the freedom that only Jesus gives.
And now I declare this prophetically over you: “Your chains will not have the final say. The Spirit of the Lord is upon you to proclaim liberty, to break cycles, and to help you walk in transformation. The Lord has not forgotten you, and His purpose for your life is still intact. You are stepping into a season where what once bound you will no longer define you. Freedom is your inheritance. Hope is your portion. Change is your testimony.”
May every chain fall, every heart be renewed, and every life rise to the kingdom purpose God has prepared.

Introduction
Welcome to Beyond the Chains: A Journey of Hope and Transformation. This 90-day devotional was written to walk with you through one of life’s most important truths: God’s Word has the power to bring freedom and transformation no matter where you are.
Whether you are behind prison walls or facing chains of regret, addiction, fear, or disappointment, know this—God sees you, loves you, and has a plan for your life. Walls and circumstances do not limit Him. His power to redeem and restore cannot be stopped.
Each day in this devotional you will encounter:
• Scripture to remind you of God’s promises.
• Reflection to help you apply those promises to your life.
• Prayer to guide you into conversation with the Father.
• Confession to declare God’s truth over yourself with confidence.
This journey is designed to strengthen your hope, deepen your faith, and awaken your identity in Christ. As you take time each day to pause, reflect, and confess, you are stepping into transformation—one decision at a time.
Remember this: God has not changed His mind about you. Your incarceration, your struggles, or your past do not define you. You are His child, created for kingdom purpose, and your future is secure in Him. These pages are an invitation to discover freedom, to rise in strength, and to embrace the life God has prepared for you.
Now, take a deep breath. Open your heart. Let this journey mark a new beginning. Together, we will move beyond the chains into the hope and change that are possible in Christ.
How to Use This Devotional
This devotional is designed to be a daily companion on your journey of hope and transformation. Each day includes:
• Scripture — God’s Word is the foundation of change. Read it slowly and let it speak to your heart.
• Reflection — A short teaching to help you apply the Word to your life and circumstances.
• Prayer — A guide to lift your heart to God and invite His presence into your day.
• Confession — A declaration of truth to speak over your life, reinforcing who God says you are.
Take a few quiet moments each day. Read the Scripture out loud if possible. Reflect on the message, pray with sincerity, and declare the confession boldly. Let these daily steps renew your mind, strengthen your spirit, and fill you with hope.
Remember—this is not just reading words on a page. It is an invitation to encounter God every day, to walk in His promises, and to move beyond the chains that try to hold you back.
