About the Book
Who are you? Culturally, you are taught that you are a child of God. Actually, you are an emergent biological being, Homo sapiens. By accepting the culturally taught version of you, rather than the actual version of who you are, you are an impostor, by assuming an identity other than your actual identity. Assuming false identity by humans is the major cause of societal problems. I present extended discussions of prehistorical, historical, philosophical, and scientific concepts to support these claims. I end by summarizing how accepting these concepts as an individual can lead to a human society which is “remastered”, made into a new version of society which retains the best of what humans have done in the past and paves a way for a more harmonious, humane society for the future.
About the Author
Norman Orr might best be described as a “polymath”. He has advanced degrees in Divinity and in History of Science, and because of his personal experiences he has read extensively in neuroscience, particularly about how the brain develops and functions, about human attachment, and about the human metaphorical thought process that determines our understanding of reality. Who are you, culturally?
