SPIRITUOCRACY: THE FORM OF DEMOCRACY IN THE AGE OF AI
On Spiritual Wisdom as the Foundation of Global Peace

The term Spirituocracy is a composite of the word ‘Spirituo’ derived from “spiritus” (Latin for “spirit” which means “breath”) and “cracy” comes from the Greek word “krátos” meaning “rule” or “power.” Thus, Spirituocracy is a system of rule in which governance is based primarily on spiritual ideals, values, or for a believer in religion “divine guidance.” The term “Spirituocracy” is coined by the author of this book, Mirza Iqbal Ashraf, which is used to refer to any form of government that institutes concepts of spiritual wisdom and consciousness—which so far has not been digitized by the AI—implementing spirituality-based ideas and theories as official sociopolitical ideology. The term "Spirituocracy" not related to any religion, refers to a futuristic projection of mankind's survival as "truly human beings" within their cosmic origin of spiritual life. It emphasizes equality among humans regardless of race, nation, ethnicity, color, gender or sexual orientation, realized spiritually by experiencing oneness with nature and its energies. Spirituocracy can be a theistic, atheistic, or esoteric discipline, but mainly depending upon people’s natural inclination of remaining “truly humans,” it must be a secular form of governance. However, adopting any system of governance founded on ibn Khaldun’s concept of “asabiyah” meaning social solidarity, preferably it would be a Spiritual People’s Republic proliferating the spiritual passion of the masses. Application of an exotic, esoteric, or even a scientific-spirituality, it will open new vistas of spiritual solidarity of the citizens of a state, a nation or a civilization. Spirituocracy will be a smoother form of sociopolitical discipline, where everyone will live freely within one’s intrinsic spiritual confessionalism. Humans as spiritual beings, safe from any negativity of the artificial Humanoids and Machine-merged-man, will exist as “truly humans,” knowing that AI may be better if it is not wrongly deployed, it will open unprecedented vistas of understanding and knowledge. In Spirituocratic disciplines, “truly humans” won’t stifle scientific innovations but will apply necessary checks and balances to get a positive AI by taming the Silicon-valley’s unleashed power, so that they can keep control of their own created digital Humanoids or Singularitarians.

Today, people are losing trust of the politicians whose priority is their political party’s interest instead of democratic values. Sociopolitical situation is being worsened by the rising power of AI and Ray Kurzweil’s vision of Singularity when man and machine will merge together and artificial humans as Humanoids will populate the planet earth, marking the end of ‘truly humans.’ My book, Spirituocracy The Form of Democracy in the Age of AI, is all about the danger from the approaching AI’s Singularity which would challenge, not only the modern democratic system but also the existence of man as ‘truly human.’ Most importantly, during AI’s era of digitized ‘man-merged-machines,’ if humans ignored deploying the impossible to digitize spiritual experiences rightly in their sociopolitical discipline, the end of mankind as ‘truly humans’ would be unavoidable. The artificial intelligence, today, figures out that the reality may be revealed through the digital ways of the algorithms. But throughout the recorded history of mankind, ‘natural intelligence’ of the humans has revealed phenomenal philosophies, ideologies, religions, and wisdom, to introduce their unique sociopolitical order. In every period of human history whenever humans had to face a catastrophic situation, their intrinsic spirituality has played the role of upholding man as ‘truly human being.’
