“IT’S NOT WHO YOU ARE UNDERNEATH, IT’S WHAT YOU DO THAT DEFINES YOU”- RACHAEL DAWES (BATMAN BEGINS)
One thing that all humans have in common is that we are all born. You can be what you want to be in life, only you can control your future, nobody else can control your future but you. If our lives were already scripted, then we would not have free will. If we want to be better, then you must get rid of laziness and act. Change what you are doing to get new and better results. If something is hard that means someone else will not do it. But you can!
From the moment we are born we don’t have a clue about what our future holds. There comes a point in your life that you discover you must make something out of yourself. People are constantly telling you to search for the American dream to become rich or to try buying a lottery ticket so that you can become a millionaire or become famous o you can get on a tv show and get your 15 minutes of fame. We see these goals as only designed for the elite. What’s funny is that everyone who achieves their goals in life made it happen because they had a serious drive and a strong will and self-belief. They knew in their heart, mind, body and spirit that they were going to accomplish everything they wrote on paper, and they knew they were going to accomplish what they spoke, and they knew it was going to happen. But you must experience suffering to grow. There is no other way because success is hard. Success is not a comfortable situation. You better learn how to enjoy being uncomfortable. Like Bane, when you are born in darkness, and you are raised by it and molded by it then light to you will become blinding and the shadows will betray those around you, but the shadows will belong to you. You don’t need eight hours of sleep! That is a myth, that is a lie. The same tiredness I feel after 8 hours of sleep is the same tiredness I feel after 5 hours of sleep. The greatest that have made it don’t need 8 hours of sleep. Laziness is one of your greatest enemies. When you are obsessed with a goal then you eat it, and you sleep it and you drink it. It’s the only thing you can think about when you wake up and when you go to sleep, that is all you see. No one cares if you are tired remember that! Nobody cares. And Death surely does not care if you are tired. The key to finding your true calling is within yourself. Believe in yourself and what you can do. First you must face your fears. Face the enemy within you. This will always be your greatest obstacle. You must root for yourself before anyone can cheer for you. A man becomes a man when he realizes no one will come to save him. Learn and know your strengths and weaknesses. Know yourself to the greatest degree. Know yourself when you face your darkest moments. You can never run from your problems so don’t waste your life trying to run. Don’t give up when you feel like giving up when you feel there is no hope and no air or food or life. Never give up. Your problems will never escape you if you do not change. You must force yourself to fight your fears. Happiness is about living with yourself, and happiness is not about anyone else. Whatever test or trials you face confront them head on no matter how terrifying it may seem. IN THE MOVIE: HANCOCK, DIRECTED BY PETER BERG (2008) Will Smith plays John Hancock, a hero who drowns himself in alcohol and sorrow because he thinks he’s alone and does not know his purpose or his place in this world. His depression causes him to be lazy, rude, and obnoxious. His reckless behavior caused people to detest him. He would save many live and he would help plenty of people and they still hated him. He did not understand why he was the only one of his kind and this overwhelmed him with sadness. He drowns his sorrows with Gentleman Jim’s Bourbon. His defining moment came when he saved the life of a man named Ray Embrey played by Jason Bateman who was a Public Relations Spoke person. After Hancock saved Ray from Getting hit by a train, he thanked Hancock and offered to help him not only change his image but also his way of thinking. This was the first person who showed gratitude for Hancock helping him. Hancock realized that this man really wanted to help him, so Hancock decided to make changes and he turned himself in to authorities for the destruction of property he caused in his community which caused him to have outstanding subpoenas, he also participated in rehabilitative programs while in jail. Hancock’s transformation caused him to make sacrifices, one of them being his freedom. Hancock wanted to give up, but Ray let him know that one day “They Will Call”! Even the strongest man on the planet has his struggles. Hancock fought through them and eventually “They Called” and when they called him for his help, he saved many lives without destroying the city and he became the hero that he was meant to be. He found his calling and his purpose, and he learned who he was, where he came from and why he was alone. But he also learned that he wasn’t alone. Everything he went through prepared him for his future test, and it taught him that he “WAS MEANT FOR SOMETHING MORE”. In the MOVIE: DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE (2024) DIRECTED BY Shawn Levy Ryan Rynolds plays Wade Wilson an enforcer turned Superhero/anti-hero after a failed experiment.
