About the Author

Silvia Doomra is a technology executive based in the Seattle area who has called the United States home for over fifteen years. Raising her children here, she always felt a quiet longing to share the world she had grown up in — the bedtime stories heard in her grandmother's lap, the gods and goddesses who felt like familiar friends, the wisdom tucked inside ancient tales passed down through generations. She wanted her children to feel that same warmth, to grow up rooted in the stories and the culture that had shaped her. And so she began to write. Divine Tales for Little Hearts is her love letter to that world — stories from Hindu mythology retold with gentleness and joy, for little ones growing up wherever home may be. Silvia believes that children who grow up knowing their stories grow up knowing themselves. When she isn't writing, she is working in tech, reading to her kids, or looking for perfect jalebis and gulab jamuns.
