The Surface That We Touch

It Might Be a Stranger In life we draw from our personal world and our rational scope. From those close, and those afar, and in our peaks and slopes. We learn from varying factors, people, levels and places, On a makeshift stage with changing games, while trying to find all the aces. And so, we develop and balance, Our moves turn into acquired talents, We open ourselves to be exposed, So, that we can receive and that we can grow. And actions, arrivals and departures, will come from our best calculations, As we try to minimize regrets, wrong turns and manipulations. But along our way, on any given day, could appear one sent to be a changer, No particulars or alerts but a connection birthed, in the form of a stranger. A harbinger of sorts with a seed of hope that you could never foresee. To trigger your thoughts or speak a word and take you to a greater degree. Here is a slate with no residue, preconceptions nor personal agendas, Only a touch to bestow and give to you, some insight to your “splendors”. And even they may not know why they sat where they did, Amongst the many that were around and those who were amid. Nor why they may have started a conversation, Or the blessings that would come within the duration. But for a timely interval they have been commissioned to give, Some type of allocation for you to best live. And sometimes even from a distance you’ll feel a pull, A vibration that will draw you, to help you to your “full”. Something quiet with a subliminal edge, Something that could liberate, bring you in from a ledge. And after your encounter, you may never see them again, A well which you have now drawn from, a divinely sent friend. Not always mysterious, dark or nefarious. Strangers can come with hearts quite various. They heard a “dog whistle” that no one else could, They’ve arrived with a purpose, all for your good. Whether it is to bring that moment of resilience to your spirit, Or for you to recognize and understand your true merit. The gamechanger in disguise, The one that brings you something wise. It might be what no longer serves you, that they came to help you erase. Oh yes, a stranger can answer “the call”, you never knew was placed!
