About the Book
Sorrow and anger are two emotions that can have desperate and volatile results, especially when you have a gun in your hand and someone is pushing you around. Multi-millionaire CEO Pamela Smith loses her cool in a heated argument and shoots the man trying to threaten her. The thing is…there’s often a witness watching somewhere. Her crime becomes the ticket out for struggling Jack Conner’s dead-end job and into his dream profession. He preys on her fear of prison time with his damning evidence. He makes her an offer she can’t refuse. They stick together and a relationship grows between them, but not without tensions, twists and turns. Private Investigator Joe Gun joins the chase and is breathing down their necks on their deceptive trail… threatening prison after all… until tragedy flips the story upside down!
