About the Book
Sometimes I look up at the night sky and wonder what if somewhere in the vast universe, someone is out there looking back? What if there are intelligent beings out there somewhere who are just as curious about us as we are about them? What if we were discovered by other intelligent beings? What if it has already happened? Anything is possible. This is a story about what could happen if we were discovered. My thoughts and ideas have been fed and inspired by such writers as A. E. Van Vogt, Isaac Asimov, Stephen Vincent Benet, O. Henry, Mary Shelley, H. P. Lovecraft, and Omar Khayyam. They are some of my heroes. I hope that I never do them a disservice, but that my writing may compliment their tutelage. The best stories, however, are yet to be written, and so many great writers are yet to have their work published. My hope is that this publication will find an appreciative audience and stir the embers of human imagination.
About the Author
I was born and raised in a small town rural area in Northern Indiana. From a young age, I took a great interest in reading. I devoured what seemed like most of the books in our local public and school libraries. Now I want to share some of what I learned.
