In world today dominated by iPhones, television and other devices, it is difficult to get a child interested in simple stories. Yet simple stories with a message are important for a child’s development and imagination rather than looking at fleeting images only. I have written such a story based on real events. It is about compassion, love for a pet and deeper connections which transgress time and emotions. It is about lasting love.

About the Author

Barbara Knauf has written three other children’s books, a biography and a book of poetry, all available on Amazon.com. At age 84 she lives in Kansas City near family. Now, nearing the end of her life she has an important story to tell about love that continues beyond our physical life, in a way that children can understand.
